Position: Set up crew
Department: Convention Services
Start Date: Any time
Pay: $8.00/hour +tips (average $11.50/hour)
Min. Contract length: 12 months



Description:


Support banquet team, conference manager and other departments completing the following; all set-up and breakdown and cleaning for meetings and events, maintaining extensive inverntory of banquet supplies, maintain a clean work area. These duties must be performed by following all safety procedures and ensuring prompt and courteous service to both internal and external guests.

Essential Functions:


Correctly and efficiently set-up and break down all functions, refresh function rooms during meals and breaks. Move carts of convention equipment to/from storage areas. Interaction and servicing of customer needs, cleaning of function space, banquet space and storage areas and to be sure to keep all storage areas clean and orderly at all times. Report major cleaning and repair needs daily. Maintain equipment and vehicles and operate equipment as intended. Anticipate internal and external guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests under all circumstances. Follow instructions from supervisor and manager as directed. Be familiar with all hotel services.features and local attractions. Assist other departments as necessary.

Experience/requirements


While performing the duties the employee is required to stand, walk talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
