Description:


Colour landscape team installs and maintains the hotel with annual flowers, perennials, interior plants and other plant material around the property. The team also constructs and maintains several hundred flower pots and hanging baskets. Maintenance includes, but is not limited to, planting, watering, weeding, pruning and running a variety of equipment to help with miscellaneous tasks. There will be opportunities to apply fertilisers, deer repellents, and pesticides. Plant identification and identifying plant problems are important aspects for the team.

Essential Functions:


Plant annual and perennial flowers and small shrubs. Maintain interior foliage plants. Water flower pots and baskets using a manual watering device. Weed flower beds. Trim and shape flowers in pots and baskets. Install and remove various containers of flowers. Prune roses, shrubs and small trees. Rototill and grade the flower beds. Operate a mulching mower and other similar motorised equipment. Plant identification. Assist in general grounds cleanup and snow removal.

Experience/Requirements


While performing the duties the employee is required to stand, walk talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
