The adventure starts here

During your stay at Kiwi Cowboy Adventures you will learn and experience:

• how to ride (or improve your riding) and care for a horse.
• how to be safe around and on a horse
• you'll get to make up feeds for the horses and then feed them - as well as give out hay
• grooming and handling your horse
• fence repairs and maintenance
• how to ride consciously and safely, or improve the way you ride - becoming more of a partner with your horse
• Ride on the beach with your horse (this beach is so isolated it's usually just you and your horse and our other riders)
• Rides over the farm and to the forest, or beach,
• plus the possibility of a visit to a Showhunter instructor and a Western Instructor
• Horse Games including a fun competition at the end of the programme
• Maintaining tack
• Jumping for those that want to
• Lasso/Lariat practice
• Paddock maintenance and care
• Maintenance of water pumps to troughs etc
• Loading horses on to trailers
• By the end of your stay with us you will have more confidence and will have improved your skills with horses too
