Kiwi Cowboy Adventures
A week you'll never forget - riding and spending time with horses, on wild coast beaches, and in the forest, while living with a Kiwi family on a farm.
Kiwi Cowboy Adventures is a 5 or 12 day programme on a horse farm only one hour northwest of Auckland city near the beautiful West Coast of the North Island. The farm is near the huge Woodhill Pine Forest, Muriwai Beach with it's black sand and huge surf, as well as many cafes, vineyards and wonderful scenery.
While we don't actually have 'cowboys' in New Zealand - you'll experience Kiwi life on a farm, and on horseback all week as well as some good old kiwi hospitality! Piha and Karekare Beaches are nearby - this is where many music videos and films including The Piano, Xena and Hercules have been filmed. As you may know New Zealand is famous for it's scenery - made somewhat more famous by the filming of the movie trilogy Lord of the Rings here.
You'll enjoy friendly hospitality during your stay and live as part of a New Zealand family - you'll learn alot about horses and riding - no matter what level rider you are.
